Nomen Tribal Lands
The Nomen Centaurs claim the northern foothills of the Tors of Levenies and the immediately surrounding grasslands as their ancestral tribal lands, as well as the area containing their ancestral burial mounds on the border of Brevoy and steppes of Casmaron to the East (beyond the map). Though in the past they have ranged through Dunsward and the borders of Brevoy, these foothills of the Tors are their current hunting grounds and encampments as well as the protected border of Olah-Kakanket, the valley of the dead beyond which none shall pass.
The Nomen are matriarchal, and they are led by their chieftain and priestess of Desna, Aecora Silverfire.
In 4725, after the Varnhold Vanishing, a delegation from Bredenham went to the Nomen Centaurs to treat with them and learn what they could about regional threats. In this conversation they learned that several ancestral relic weapons were stolen from a scouting party ranging near Varnhold, and that Aecora's daughter Xamanthe had gone missing shortly thereafter. The Bredenham party was able to rescue Xamanthe from the Tomb of Vordakai as well as retrieve the stolen ancestral weapons. In exchange for this help, the Nomen sat for negotiations with Ilja Vladimitru to identify their tribal lands officially, and to ensure that no further encroachment of the Varnhold settlement would push into their lands. One hex of Varnhold's territory was ceded back to Nomen control and the Dunsward plains remain open to negotiations for either Bredenham settlement or Nomen ranging.
