Public Agenda

Assets

While the providence of Briar Glenn is far from the richest territory in the Kingdoms, House Duvall does possess the advantage of having control of most of the ports and natural harbors on the continent. Furthermore, the house has a great deal of sway with the Northern Ranger Corp, frequently being permitted favors and information other houses and factions would not be privy to.

History

If the Redgards functions as the spearhead bringing the fight to the forces of the Unseelie Fae, then House Duvall serves as the shield. Calmly and quietly they and their subservient houses watch over the settlements and protect both the people and beacon within. To that end, they serve as the patrons of the Northern Range Corp, affectionately referred to the "Graycloaks".   House Duvall was officially founded in 117 of the Age of Flame in the city of Hearth after the Rona chose to officially recognize Hugo Duvall, a Grenessian born statesman who managed to defuse rising tensions with the Krel clans, and was elected regent following the death of the first Rona. Duvall was known for his friendly, if sometimes stern demeanor and ability to gather information, steadily growing a network of spies and supports that served as the foundation for the network House Duvall utilizes in the present day. For his valiant service towards his country, Hugo was granted a title within the city of Hearth, though it came with no lands. It wasn't until the founder reached the ripe age of 87 that his children were set to inherit a newly formed county, located just northeast of Valmere. While Hugo himself did not live to see these lands with his own eyes, his descendants applied themselves with vigor, growing the singular county into a mighty providence over the course of two centuries, and several generations. Today, House Duvall stands tall on the political stage and continues to produce some of the finest statesmen the Kingdoms have ever seen.
