Dhul

Dhul is the purpose for which a soul is created. As a soul is reborn through the cycle of death and rebirth its Dhul may grow stronger or weaker. If it grows strong enough, eventually a soul may become a Celestial and (if strong enough and no god of that Dhul is in place) a soul may achieve godhood. If a god's Dhul becomes strong enough, they are believed to be born into the True World. If a soul loses sight of its Dhul, it may reform after death as a Demon.

Manifestation

A sufficiently strong Dhul manifests as an ability to work magic. A truly strong Dhul will have the ability to grant others spells as well, this is usually only seen in the Gods, though could be seen in the Celestial in a limited form.
