1791-1792: The Fuxi War/The Apotheosis Crisis

Following the Flattening of Daggerford, a wave of crisis came over the minds of the people of Faerun and Kara-Tur. The Icons of Fuxi have long since ravaged their lands from time to time; raiding parties, assaults on smaller towns, but the Shining City Protection Corporation (to which the public believe the Fuxites broke away from in some fanatic machine cult) would be there to deal with them, to help. But with the loss of one of the greatest cities of the Sword Coast, nothing was certain.   By Alturiak 1792, Nations were seriously preparing for the worse, but with the State of the Foundation at that time, they were ignored. Not until Arturo Ceadda took his birthright of High Prince and reorganize their strategy. But by then, it was too late. The Old World was ablaze. Some people would refer to this era of united defense and perserverance against the forces of Chaos and Destruction the "The Generational Apocalypse", with cities from Baldur's Gate to Karatin under Siege.   Though the Fuxites were eventually stopped decisively by the combined efforts of all of Faerun, Zakhara and Kara-tur, it left great scars on societies. Cities were in great need of repair, some realms lost their leaders, economies in tatters. Much of West Faerun united into the United Sword Coast States as a measure to ensure the continued survival of their economies, remaining in a provisional government for years while they rebuilt Daggerford. Realms like the Shou Lung Empire lost their Emperor, sparking a brutal civil war to which the Kozakurans had gotten involved. The Moonshae Government collapsed completely following the death of their Queen to which had no heir: a set of Warlord states remained for a year and a half until the USCS intervened to bring order, eventually annexing the islands into the Union.   The Holy Foundation would have its hands full for the next few years propping up the continental economy, preventing a near freefall in the platinum market, and funding reconstruction efforts. The Shining City Protection Corporation would enjoy many privileges across the continent to fill the gaps in the nations' militaries.   The Old World Survives. Just about. Now, their eyes turn to Albion, for the inevitable final act.
