1691-1692: The Githyanki Invasion of Tridecagrama
Following the command of Potentis to cripple any Foundation ability to interfere with his plans in Albion, Vlaakith had sent an invasion force against multiple Foundation Sites, though the most notable one was the Occupation of Sitio Tridecagrama.
Taking advantage of a 30 minute window where the Proximity scanners of the capital of the Foundation were down for maintenance, they punched through the surface entrances, While a combat group of Spelljammers that plane-shifted from the Astral Plane straight into the airspace above the city. While High Prince Calus declared an immediate state of emergency, he personally led a combat force through the Ceadda Tower, breaking through the Githyanki forces pushing up through the building.
In the following Tenday, much of the upper City had fell, with Foundation forces taking an advantageous defence within the Lower City, Neon Sea and Research Facilities. While other Foundation Sites managed to clear their respective attacks by Vlaakith, the sheer size of Tridecagrama made this a difficult task, and the inability to bring in reinforcements meant the Site was on its own. This presented an opportunity for the recently created Division of Applied Parapsychology (working alongside the Medical Department) to adapt a previous research project. Project T.EN.N.O. Under Doctor Teagan Anderson and Doctor Darlington-Whit Leverly, what was once a project to extend the life of an individual with the Void Weave became a grand machine to imbue an essence of the Goddess' power in individuals themselves, turning them into weapons. After failures of testing on adults, the project moved to children after a proposal by Darlington, leading to the first batch of 100 Tenno, the "Dash Ones".
These Tenno, with their potent Void potential, struck deep into the Githyanki forces, obliterating multiple offensives and even pushing them back to the upper City. by the start of 1692 the Second batch of 100 Tenno were created, and the Remaining Githyanki in the City were routed, or captured. Those captured spent the rest of their lives being worked to death as slave labour.
The widespread destruction across Tridecagrama and other sites, especially the heavy economic centre that was the Neon Sea; The Foundation Autarchs would be granted special economic rights to rebuild and bring the Foundation back to economic prosperity. This would become the framework of the many Corporations of the Holy Foundation.
High Prince Calus, in the following months of the occupation, declared "A Great Crusade, the wipe the interlopers of the Astral Plane, the vile, barbaric forces of the Lich Queen Vlaakith! Light your torches, brandish your blades, and tear the very head off her neck! For the Holy Foundation, and for true liberation!" Calus' reign for the remaining decade of his life was of war and death, creating a total of 10 batches of Tenno to fight and war against their enemies on the surface, until the death of Calus and the hands of the Tenno in the Void Rebellion of 1701.
