The Ruined Tower

Only a few scholars know the real name of the Ruined Tower, which was built in the eastern region of the Mossy Fields several hundred years ago. Long before Green River was a settlement, legend has it that the tower was home to a Reclusive Evil Wizard named Azax, and in some ancient tomes the Tower was referred to as the Tower of Azax. History accounts that This Wizard Azax built the tower in this remote region of the southern wilds to get away from civilization and he conducted many experiments here. Other such tomes mention that the Wizard Azax made a pact with the ancient God Hequet That Granted him the servitude of many Humanoid Toad Creatures called Toadkin to serve as his Guardian Army.   Ancient Elvish Annals of the Elves from the Sylvanwood tell how these Toadkin served the Wizard Azax terrorized the land and had many conflicts with the elves. Azax's forces became more emboldened they even attempted to slay an ancient Dragon supposedly sleeping in Lonley Mountain when Azax and his army of Toadkin met their end by only angering the dragon.    Legend tells of a battle on the open ground of the mossy fields and the tower Azax and his Toadkin army met the wrath of the Ancient Dragon. The Ancient Dragons made a low attack pass on the tower shearing the four upper levels and crumbling them to the ground with the Wizard Azax falling with them. Azax's Toadkin Army attempted to fight the Dragon but was routed at the site of seeing Azax Fall to the Dragon's attack.
