Wyverns

Similar to dragons, wyverns are winged creatures that are somewhat rare in Atios. They seem to have become more common since the return of the Darkness. Long ago, tales were told of wyverns living in caves deep in the woods who avoided people and were seen as a sign of good fortune if spotted flying overhead.

Since the return of the Starless Nights, however, many reports have surfaced of wyverns attacking travelers. It is unknown why these creatures have suddenly turned aggressive, though there are some rumors of an individual capable of training wyverns to do their bidding.
