Brandt's goal is to protect creation from the knowledge he believes should remain unknowable. He sees himself as an all-encompassing veil which shrouds the Astralverse from the horrors that lie beyond.
Brandt works in opposition both to the will of Oculus, God of Foresight and the Future and his son, Vyden, God of Knowledge.
