Elric's Request for Aid

In 821 ND, before Kima was united as one country, invasion from Doriathil threatened the land. The king of Chema had fled the Artaan Keep and the capital city, Anstead, and was nowhere to be found. His captain of the Kingsguard, Elric of Anstead, took matters into his own hands and penned and official request for aid to be sent to every region of Kima. The letter ultimately led to the unification of Kima as one empire.

Elric's Request for Aid

"My fellow Kimans, I am writing to you from the Artaan Watchtower in Chema, where I am watching for Doriathil’s incoming fleet. They sail toward us now, seeking to invade our divided continent. They themselves are threatened by the Novarian Empire, a nation known for its bloodlust and greed. I have no doubt that they want to take our land, our resources, and our people to fight their war.
It is true that Doriathil heads for Chema first. You may not see it as your fight, but you will be next. After Chema, they’ll take Ephemere, and if those nations fall, then so will the entirety of Kima. They’ll take control of our money and exports and draft our people. And if they lose to Novaria, they’ll kill our mages too. I know even those who have not a speck of magic in them would still shudder at the thought of its absence, but that is what Novaria will seek to do. Doriathil, if they emerge victorious, will impose heavy restrictions on not only our mages, but our doctors and farmers, too. Doriathil and Novaria’s policies are the very reason our people sought to sail to new lands. It is not their right to take Kima from us.
I write to you not as a soldier from Chema, but as a fellow Kiman. We have been divided for far too long. The time has come to unite our forces under one flag, and eradicate our would-be invaders. I have sent representatives to the following settlements: Giffinton in Strica, Kirway in Avadale, Alranvick in Ephemere, Nimre in Lumarien, and the southern entrance to the Katzan Cape. If you wish to save your country, meet them there within two weeks’ time. They will bring you to Anstead."
