Wilderness of Coracle

Most of Coracle is a wilderness.  From the Alessin Mountains (from the caverns and the paths through the Mountains), the Esle Plains and the Forests throughout the rest of the continent.  The only established settlements are Cathay, which is on the Bay of Chaude, Vieta, which is near the top of the continent, near the Vieta Delta and Eldritch, which is in the center of the Esle Plains.  Eldritch has a few farms that surround it, but most colonists, for safety's sake, live within the bounds of the Eldritch barriers.  he wildlife in the Plains is unpredictable and some of it is deadly.  From the sky, the Red Kraiks, on the ground, there are Bear-like creatures that feed on the deer and other omnivores that roam the plains.  
The Esle Plains stretches across the mid-section of Coracle, tall grasses of varying kinds flow like the sea in the winds that race across the prairie.  In some places, the grasses hide oil deposits that the Founder Sect and the AGP are in conflict over.  The Esle Plains is divided up by the Esle river that flows out of the Alessin Mountains and splits into the Sennet river near Eldritch to further divide the Western half of Coracle.  The Esle river splits again near the top half of Coracle, into the Mere river, letting the rest of the Esle flow out to the Vieta Delta.  
Cathay is divided from the rest of Coracle by the Alessin Mountains, which are white capped throughout the year.  The fierce weather in the mountains has made travel by ship around the Mountains to Vieta an easy choice for most travelers.  Scouts and other adventurous souls have found paths and caves through the mountain peaks.  The Western side of Cathay is forest, the Eastern side was originally inhabited by the first colonists and they have only built out enough to support some farming, low-impact industry and fishing.  Cathay has leaned heavily on the Mothership to minimize its impact on the planet.  The AGP and its colonists have not been abusive, but some Founders Sect members think they have taken too much.
