Red Kraik Stew

The Eldritch settlement is the oldest settlement outside of Cathay.  One of the most loved dishes in the Eldritch history is Red Kraik stew.
Red Kraik stew obviously is the result of a successful hunt against a Kraik.  The dish was first performed after the Eldritch settlers successfully killed some of the Kraik that attacked the colonists.  The children's song that was created after the death and sorrow of that attack was also the source of the dish.  Kraik Stew became the central dish in an annual feast in Eldritch.
The dish is made out of  Red Kraik and local vegetables.  The dish uses every part of the animal.  After the feathers of the bird are plucked, they are used to decorate the hall for the feast.  The claws of the bird are repurposed by blacksmiths to create knives.  The rest of the bird is slowly cooked in a sauce created by berries, alcohol and the garlic.
Experienced cooks broil the bird in a pan buried in a bonfire for hours.  When the meat is falling off the of the bones, they put the meat into a meat broth and cook it for another 30 minutes to allow it to blend with additional local vegetables and spices.  The stew is served with fresh-baked bread.  A light ale made from the Esle Plains grasses is served freely.
The dish is brought out in an enormous cauldron carried by several cooks.  They sit it on a table and people pick up their bowls from the table and everyone stand in line and cycles from the table, up to the table, a cook dishes out two ladles of soup.
The bread is brought out fresh from the oven at the same time.  Another set of servers serves everyone seated at the table 2 loaves of bread.  The bread is eaten with the meaty, vegetable soup and when the bowl is empty, except for a spoonful of soup at the bottom of the bowl, the colonists tend to soak up the savory, greasy, flavorful soup.
