Personal history
Qeb the smith has been living and smithing in the Kas Mountains since before the fall of the Great Dwarven Empire. He has never spoken a word about what happened to the other dwarves in the area after its fall, but when he came to the camp that would become Kasmenetros he was alone. The most cheerful he appears capable of being can be at best called gruff and business-like, and most who first meet him find him antisocial or even cruel. Among those who have known him over time, and especially his students, it is well known but seldom commented on, that the dwarf is secretly thrilled to have people around again. Though his smithing is as much better than a human's as is common to all his people, of late little of his time is spent actually forging high quality weapons or armor; instead he has undertaken the task of teaching as many Kasmene smiths as possible to work the steel Matullus produces. There are whispers that the dragonborn and the dwarf are collaborating on a way to create the steel that does not rely on the direct involvement of a single person.
