Personal history
Alcmene occupies an interesting place in the pantheon of the Shaperate. Like the overwhelming majority of demigods, she is the child of a lesser god, diluted from the Shaper Gods by two generations. Certainly those of such a bloodline are extraordinary individuals, but not often the true stuff of legends like their aunts and uncles who are themselves progeny of a Shaper God. Alcmene, however, is one of the few demigods in the line of Nemesis, the only greater deity among the Shaperate, meaning that while the Daughter of the East Wind has a divinity which is as watered down as a second generation demigod, the starting point is significantly higher due to the sheer magnitude of her grandmother. There are not enough people like her for a study to be made and real conclusions made but in the anecdotal case of Alcmene, she appears to have a smaller but denser divinity compared to first generation demigods, making her outlook and physicality noticeably more mortal, her sphere of influence smaller, but her power within that sphere within the upper quadrant. Like most descendants of one of the Four Winds she has a significant wanderlust, but it appears that in her case it's more of a thirst for new experiences, sights, and especially people. She has shown no signs of restlessness since blowing into Oros (literally). It seems that the ever changing and varied inhabitants of Khthon's most cosmopolitan city allows her to sate her desires even more efficiently than travel, with fewer lulls as she moves through similar areas or has to backtrack. As a demigod, Alcmene could not have avoided becoming something of a local celebrity without concealing her identity, but she has instead leaned as far into it as she can. The announcement of participation by the Daughter of the Eastern Wind always draws a full crowd to the colosseum, where Alcmene holds the longest undefeated records in every variety of unarmed combat and serves as one of the arena's three grand champions. She has earned enough prizes and winner's purses to make her a fantastically wealthy woman, and she has turned her fame and fortune into more of each, investing in and tying her name to almost every product and service she comes across, but only in one business for each and only after a rigorous vetting process. She is consequently well on her way to joining the highest echelons of Oros' unofficial aristocracy.
