Agápinaós

Purpose / Function

The Agápinaós is the primary center of worship for Vylora's faithful, the hub of her cult's influence, and the seat of its power.

Architecture

The great temple of the Favored Lady was built when the only mortals were giants and dragons, and so is enormous, even for a seat of a major religion. It is essentially a structure within a structure, having additions added to accommodate the smaller races, but you would be forgiven for failing to notice. The sheer age of the structure has allowed any incongruencies and inconveniences to be smoothed away over long years.

History

As the first children of the shaper gods to practice architecture or even use sophisticated tools, the giants were responsible for the construction of all their temples. Of these, only the Agápinaós still stands.
