The World Serpent
In the world of Khoto it is believed that about 5000 years have passed since their ancestors arrived. That their ancestors were attracted to this mysterious world and its strange formations. With a captivating power to it, it is home to dangerous yet valuable primeval creatures and mysterious relics beyond human comprehension. These relics have enticed adventurers looking to strike it rich, but to this day no one has ever seen the secrets hidden away so long ago. With legends luring them in, many have met their fate swallowed by it’s beckoning call, swallowed by the abyss.
Once or twice every two decades or so people would see a silhouette of a giant serpent swimming among the clouds. A pale white serpent-like creature thousand kilometers in length and a couple hundred kilometers wide, carrying several "islands" with mountains and forest on its back. Legend refers to it as "The World Serpent ''. It's shrouded in mysteries and questions from its origin to how it could fly and seemingly produce its own gravitation which keeps those "islands' ' held safely on its back as it moves. It also appears and vanishes mysteriously. It's hypothesized that it travels from dimension to dimension and sometimes stays in between them. Legend said our ancestors arrived in this world by hitchhiking the serpent. It's also said some decided to remain on those islands and build their own civilization on the back of the Majestic Titan. This alleged civilization has been called to all that have gazed at it, as the Reverie.
