Izij Caste System

To put it clearly for you since you seem to have the knowledge of your own people to that of rotting fruit despite being a Uwufuxuzuvij, and your Saniizij audience, the Caste system is not some draconian thing where I couldn't look my lord in the eye and say good day, but it is not the freedom your empire loves to tout.

The different Castes

There are six different castes, each of which may be subdivided into numerous other groups.

Uygnakwarufaj

*Uygnakwarufaj is an acronym that stands for "Nobles" and "Potential Kings.*/ The Uygnakwarufaj, the nobility, are members of the highest caste. Up to ninety percent of the land oweners in the Izij heartland of Kunasviing .They often divided themselves into Uvi and the Ari, with the distinction being based on where and why they got to this tak.
Did they inherit it from a progenitor who said that they were descended from the original Izij King? Uvi. Have they inherited it from a renowned relative who once accomplished heroic acts? Ari. Adopted by parents without children? No matter how illustrious your title, Ari is your name.
Members of the Uygnakwarufaj are very proud of their heritage, which they trace back to Isiruj, the first Uyga (king) of the Izij. It seems probable given the fact that he had so many offspring through a large number of wives and concubines; nevertheless, genealogical records may be hard to come by. They are the only [tooltip:In most situations, describes a member of the Izij population.] people of their kind. There is also a feminine form known as Niizij, although its use is considered to be more academic and ancient. refers to a speaker of the Izij language in various contexts, particularly outside of the corelands; nonetheless, the proper name for someone who speaks that language is Artabizij.] Tabizij who are eligible to cast ballots or put themselves up for consideration for the Kingship (a quasi religious, cultural and political role, as ruler of Kunasviing).   In compared to the practises of other castes, marriage is seen as a far more significant commitment. Members of different castes are able to wed one another after meeting at The Dance and completing all of the necessary rituals (so long as an Avulung agrees). Whereas, for the Uygnakwarufaj, there is a great deal more screening, and because marrying below one's station is frowned upon, there is very little opportunity for new blood to enter the cast, so consulting [tooltip:Izij elders, who are primarily men and who specialise in keeping records, especially of family trees.] is necessary. Also used to refer to those inside the government who are responsible for preserving records.] Avulufabang in order for children to have healthy lives [tooltip] (what the upper Izij believe to be the only purpose of marriage, alongside transfer of property).   Because Uygnakwarufaj control the majority of the money in the society, members of this caste are not required to engage in labour in order to maintain their standard of living, making them unique among the other castes. However, a significant number of Uwufuxuzuvij and Tabavvifij members do go on to careers as judges, physicians, and members of other professions linked with their communities.

Uwufuxuzuvij

The second caste is composed of the majority of the well-known Tabizij. Historically connected with the function of a fire priest or a Keeper (of knowledge, or the dead). They are also often found in the most prominent non-craftsman professions (although this is not to suggest that there aren't any Uwufuxuzuvij painters or potters), such as physicians, judges, and lower government officials. Most of the time, they have sufficient income so that only the head of the home has to work, and the women are free to pursue other activities, such as recreational forms of tabavifij.

Tabavifij

Out of all the castes, the Tabavifij are by far the most fascinating. Even though they are accorded the same level of respect as Uwufuxuzuvij, they continue to be dealt with in a manner that suggests they are lower in status. The difference between Uvi and Ari among the Uygnakwarufaj is an example of the kind of argument made by some academics on the nature of these subcastes.   They deal with vocations like as pottery, sewing, painting, scribing, jewling, acting, and singing, which are the occupations that the majority of Izij want to have. However, as a result of the growth of industrialization, certain sectors have been through difficult times, which has pushed the previously affluent Tabavifij below the poverty level. In the areas of the Empire dominated by the Izij, the Tabavifij are often outcompeted by alternatives that are crafted by the Ugane and modelled after Amtaric culture.   Those among them who were more brilliant had a greater chance of climbing the social ladder and preserving their standing with the aristocracy and the King's court, which was always on the move. As a result, they have the potential to earn a decent living, but this is not common among them, and in this day and age, the amount of money available to them has increased due to imports in Tixan and increased competition in the countries they have chosen to call home.

Iifaazufaj

Wealth is highly stigmatised in Izij society, but it is also greatly revered. Wealth is seen as an indication of favour from Ici, the supreme god, but why do you have so much laying around? Should you not be investing it in the growth of the church and your own knowledge instead? Therefore, the Iifaazufaj came into being in order to address the awkward presence of the elephant in the room. They often work in companies that are familiar to them, such as money lending and the buying and selling of things. Before the Uvivuuryang, they may have been the caste that had the greatest experience travelling.

Tavavixij

The Tavavixij previously worked in the field, and many of them still do; but, as urbanisation has slowly crept up on them, they have gone into a wider variety of professions, and some of them are even starting to beat out Tabavifij people in their respective professions. I know, it's a shocking revelation! If the author and readers of this fire were instantly transported into this realm, the odds are that we would find ourselves inhabiting the role of Tavavixij.

Nazisj

The people of the lowest caste are considered 'unforgivable' and are often forced to work in occupations that are considered "unclean" and are reserved for those with the lowest pay. The vast majority of women who engage in prostitution end up being Nazisj, meaning that they are almost certainly uneducated and have nowhere else to turn. The only individuals to be inferiror to them are those who are seen as being below human.

Sanifavanij, or Foriegners

As long as you are ready to study Izij ceremony (but notice for any Urgan, if you go to anyplace in the Tixan, particularly the Izij, take whatever goat's milk you are offered), foreigners are a lot more welcome here than in other parts of the Tixan Region, such as the Yapani valley. They are often dealt with in the same manner as merchants, despite the fact that this is not their primary profession.

Slavery

Slavery by War

War slavery has been extinct up until very recently; however, as a result of the Uvivuuryang, there has been an increase in the number of people used as war slaves. The majority of them are males since there is no need for women or children to be working. They often serve as pack animals for the warlord (or more accurately, the underlings of the warlord) who took them captive, in addition to doing various types of menial labour.

Slavery by Debt

The most widespread and worst type of slavery is that of debt servitude. When debts are not paid, it is very uncommon for a whole family to be forced into servitude, including women and children who, for the most part, are unable to have access to finances. They are hauled about for public works much too often; but, given that the funding typically comes from a moneylender rather than the crown, individuals who are engaged are given a wider selection of assignments to choose from.

Slavery for Crime

An Izij proverb that may be roughly translated as "honest labour, paid debts" is as follows: Indentured slavery is an appropriate kind of punishment for the majority of offences. A judge will decide your scentence and the task you will be doing. This task will typically involve building, but due to the Great War in Tixan, public works projects have been halted in the majority of Izij areas. Other tasks may include farming or producing goods to support the faction that the judge has aligned himself with.

How strict is it?

In the course of the previous few of centuries, the rigidity of the caste system has decreased. Even if you become a Keeper of the Dead, a doctor, or one of the other professions affiliated with the caste, you will not be allowed to advance to the Uwufuxuzuvi caste. There is still just a little amount of mobility. Before the loosening (Sang Uvinuk), many individuals would never engage with persons who were not belong to their caste, unless it was for the sake of doing business. Even in modern times, many people will only maintain friendships and close relationships with members of the same caste because they view members of higher castes with suspicion if they wish to interact with them, and they view members of lower castes with a sense of superiority if they wish to form a relationship with them.   Before the establishment of Tuxuzuviinj, such as the Alaamuwiing Tuxuzuviing, at the de facto capital of Alaamuwiing, the lower caste

Marriage Across Caste Lines

Our brothers can't ask a Uwufuxuzuvij or Uygnakwarufaj lady to merely dance with her during The Dance unless they too are Uwufuxuzuvij or Uygnakwarufaj. This is in contrast to the practise that exists here in the Empire, where Despite the fact that my sister and I were born as Tabavvifij, she was able to have a romantic relationship with a Uwufuxuzuvij. This occurred despite the fact that I never had the opportunity to dance because we moved to the Yapani valley when I had already experienced eleven summers and had many behind me.

Children Produced by Marriages Between Different Castes

As it is more common for a woman to marry upwards, children born of an intercaste marriage acquire their mother's caste. Because of this, you can separate the members of a caste who are considered to be "pure" from those who are considered to be "mongrels." However, because they are subject to the social scorn of the lower caste and the privileges of the higher caste, they are frequently seen as belonging to a caste in between the two extremes; however, the question of whether or not this is actually the case is one that should be decided by academics and judges.

Author's Notes

I apologise for the shifts in narration style - I am in a massive time crunch and I want to get articles out, therefore, I'm less inclined to think of consistency, or at 1 in the morning, spelling.
