Azti Family

Overview

The Azti Family are considered the ruling family of the Wixen, though they have no real power over nations or the Wixen. As Heksaro, the first Heks was part of the Azti Family and more Heks have been part of the Azti family than not, they are seen as far above the rest of the Wixen in status and stature.
The Azti family magic is more powerful than any other family in all the Wixen tribes, but the gained that power by refusing a specialization when the Blessing of Minabi was given. Each family member studies a little bit about the magical specializations of the other 12 families, but the will never be able to learn the true depth of any one specialization. However, this doesn't mean that they aren't truly brilliant in their own way. The breath of their knowledge is astounding, and their understanding of the other families gives them all the best qualities of leadership. This is why the Azti family have them the Heks more than 70% of the time over the last 4000+ years.
The current family leader is Ketara Mestano Azti.
