World Creation
From the churning void that was the rest of the universe, a group of upper planar entities appeared, while most were content to continue their exploration of the void, one of them Omet, god of duality, decided to create the Material, to accomplish this task they gave birth to four children, the four lords.
- Royk, God of Order and Night.
- Agnalass, Goddess of Nature and Forge.
- Nathair, God of Knowladge and Light.
- Forir, Goddess of Tempest and War.
Before the gods could create they had to take care of the beasts of the empty, for every time they attempted to create something, it would fall prey to the eldritch nightmares that called the void home. The four lords united to vanquish the abomination Keman, they used its immense body to create a world that could survive in the emptiness.
The lords united to create the first mortal race, made from their will, this made a race of immaterial people. This new creations needed of a protector from the monsters of the deep void, and so Forir was chosen to watch over them.
Given their immaterial nature, the first ones were unable to archive much even after centuries, but their fates were sealed once the corrupting influence of the void began to seep in and changed them in ways the gods didn't intended. Forir seeing their creation fall prey to this foreign influence decided to end the era, a powerful tempest made the oceans rise and swallow their civilization.
The gods created a new group of people to inhabit Keman, this time they gave them bodies, to prevent the void from twisting them, the lords looked at the beast that made the planet their home. Taking inspiration from different creatures they created the chimeric races of Xolan. Nathair gave them the gift of sentience and promised to keep the void at bay.
After centuries the Xolan had become populous and prolific, spanning almos all Keman. This made the resources scarce and wars unavoidable, in the search of more power for their conflicts they searched forbidden knowledge from beyond the stars. The use of eldritch magic enraged the gods, with flash Nathair took back their sentience and so the era of the Xolan was no more.
Royk was tasked with the creation of the next race. Made of unchanging stone, these gigantic golems were given live by the lords, in hopes that their tempered nature would keep them from forbidden knowledge.
For centuries the Giants flourished, creating advanced underground metropolises, most of the lords were happy with their creation. But Nathair became jealous that it was Royk's race of people that would rule the material, so in a fit of envy he distracted the night lord long enough for the creatures from beyond to slide into the material. The once powerful civilization fell, Royk purged the land and shrouded their cities in eternal darkness.
The gods appalled with Nathair's selfishness, and so he was tasked with ensuring the survival the next mortal race. It was apparent that the next mortals needed to be powerful enough to defend themselves against the horrors of the void, and so they were created using precious metals and jewls enbued with the powers of the planes. Agnalass became the lord protector of the draconic race.
With time Dragons grew vain, the elders among them believed they had outgrown the gods. It wasn't long before this dangerous philosophy spread, for the next hundred years Keman saw destruction like never before as the only war between the gods and their creations took place.
Finally Agnalass took action against her brothers creation, and so the skies broke open and holly fire rained upon Keman and its inhabitants. Cleansing any trace of the draconic civilization.
Nathair was once again tasked with creating the last mortals, the gods needed to craft a race capable of surviving the forces of the void but not powerful enough to believe themselves capable of chalenging the gods. And so they decided to use the broken bones of their previous creations, they imbued it with their essence and so the first peoples of the race of Acay were born. Believing that the reason the dragons rebelled against them was their constant intervention in mortal affairs, the lords decided to exile themselves, hoping they would never have to return and start anew.
