The Ground Floor of The Singing Mermaid Tavern

1: Tavern Main Hall
Size 120ft by 60ft roughly
The entrance to the tavern are two sets of double-doors (Wood/reinforced with iron). The tavern is large with many wooden tables, benches, private padded booths (that have curtains), and chairs in the central area. Four large fireplaces are also centralised in the room with padded chairs and two-person sofas nearby for relaxing in comfort. Across the room is a long bar with stools, behind the bar are stacked barrels of beer, ale, and cider, and shelves of spirits and wine.
Wooden chandeliers hang from the ceiling beams with a mixture of scented and unscented candles burning, shedding a muted light throughout the main hall. All the tables have brass candle-lamps or oil lamps upon them that can be lit. Around the walls are hanging tapestries, shields, a fishing net, a fishing pole, Spears, and some painted pictures of ships, underwater scenes, fish, stormy sea scene, and islands.
Three wooden staircases lead to the first floor, two doors that lead to private rooms (3), their are two sets of double doors leading to private dining rooms (6), three doors leading to restrooms (w/c), one door leading to a store room (locked), and one door (wood/iron) that exits onto the street.
2: Weapon Storage Rooms
Size 10ft by 10ft
These rooms have empty barrels in them where the door staff place weapons belonging to customers that enter the building. Each barrel has a number painted on the outside and a carved wooden disk with the corresponding number is given to the customer.
3: Private Rooms
Size 20ft by 20ft
These private rooms have a large wooden table with eight chairs surrounding it, a wooden dresser where dinner trays are placed, and four extra chairs if more are needed. A chandelier with scented and unscented candles lights the room. If more light is needed there are two brass oil lanterns hanging on the wall (one opens a secret doorway which leads to two stairways, one leading to the first floor, the other to the cellar). If the bracket that holds the lantern is pulled down it will reveal the entrance.
4: Food Storage Rooms
Size 10ft by 10ft
These store rooms are always locked, keys are held by
Gregor Tideborn,
Hedar Bonechewer,
Onvum Butterbrand, and
Rhuld. The rooms have large barrels of oil, wine, beer, ale, mead, water, and fish in saltwater (brine). Smaller barrels have butter, spices, vinegar, and herbs, their are sacks of potatoes, rice and other vegetables, crates of bottles, jars, and jugs. The rooms are shelved and hold wheels of cheese, jars, and pots, and sausages, fowl, and other meats hang from hooks.
5: Kitchen
Size 40ft by 20ft
This large kitchen has two huge fireplaces that are used for cooking, beside one is an oven to bake bread. There are wooden tables used to prepare various foods, including meat, fish, fowl, and vegetables. The kitchen is always busy with many staff going about their daily tasks.
This room was once two separate kitchens before, but now has archways that make the room into one large kitchen. There is a door (wood, locked) leading to a store room (4), stone steps that lead down to the cellar, two doors that lead to the main hall, and two sets of double-doors that are in constant use as cooked food is taken through to the waiting patrons.
6: Private Rooms (Previously Dining Rooms)
Size 20ft by 20ft
These rooms have a large wooden table circled by eight chairs, more chairs are in the room if needed. The room also contains a dresser, with two oil lamps, a chandelier lights the room and their are two doorways that adjoin the rooms. The room to the west has a set of stone steps that lead to the cellar below.
7: Office (Previously a Kitchen)
Size 20ft by 20ft
This is
Gregor Tideborn's office and where he can be found most of the time. The room has a large fireplace (DM: Secret exit), desk (iron safe underneath) with a brass oil lamp, various papers, a ledger, quills and ink pots. there are also four padded chairs, a padded sofa, a locked chest beside the fireplace, and two bookshelves holding various books and stacks of papers. The room is lit by a chandelier.
8: The Bar
The long oak bar has many stools for patrons. The bar is split into three parts to allow staff to pass through into the kitchen. Behind the bar are stacked barrels of beer, ale, and cider, and shelves of spirits and wine.
