King Gond Stormhammer And His Twelve Sons

King Gond Stormhammer

Gond Stormhammer was said to be the greatest Dwarven warrior during the Third Age who was chosen to be Chieftain of his Clan. Many Dwarven Cities were lost to the Evil of the Underdark, the only remaining Fortress/City was STORMHALL. Gond's people honoured him by declaring him King Gond Stormhammer of The Fortress City of STORMHALL. King Gond led his people from his Underdark City to the surface world after many years of battle and War with the Goblins, Orcs and the other foul creatures that live below the earth.

Fortified Town

King Gond and his people (Clan Stormhammer) built a fortified Town on the surface Realm (Later to be known as The Kingdom of Gondonia). When King Gond left Stormhall his Wife, Queen Hlin ruled in his absence defending the Kingdom and raising his six Princely sons.
King Gond's first six sons were named:

• Thond (Thond Stormhammer of The Fortress City of STORMHALL)
• Golt (Golt Silvershield of The Kingdom/City of SILVER HALLS)
• Helt (Twin-Born) (Helt Brightaxe of BRIGHT HALL)
• Gelt (Twin-Born) (Gelt Goldshield of THE HALLS OF THE GOLDEN THRONE)
• Gand (Gand Ironbeard, First King of The Fortress City of IRONHOME)
• Gamrod (Gamrod Bronzehorn of The City of BRONZEGATE)

When King Gond's firstborn son Thond came of age (Aged 50, Thirty years later) he remained at STORMHALL to rule in his father's place, Gand and Gamrod remained behind also. Queen Hlin and King Gond's remaining sons joined him at the fortified Town which was growing in population and wealth due to trade with the other Dwarven Clan Settlements, Thentia, and the Elven people of The Kingdom of Elosia and The Kingdoms of Pelosia. Within the next six decades the Town had grown into a great City and was named Dun Gondalin in honour of their King and Queen.
Queen Hlin had produced six more Princes over this time and they were named:

• Gandril (Gandril Silverheart of HEART HOME)
• Thand (Thand Ironhammer of HAMMER HALL)
• Gart (Gart Stormcloak of THE CAVERNS OF THE FORGE)
• Bron (Bron Longspear of LONG HALL)
• Nain (Twin-Born) (Nain Ironfoot of THE IRONTHRONE FORTRESS)
• Dain (Twin-Born) (Dain Goldencrown of The Kingdom of EARTH HOME)

The Death of King Gond Stormhammer

King Gond Stormhammer Died at the age of 345 years old when he was slain in Battle by the Frost Giant Chieftain Folfugurthur of Clan Frosthammer from The Brokentooth Ridge when they lay siege to the City of Dun Gondalin in 13669KR-13670KR.
The Giants were beaten back eventually, many were killed and the remaining were routed after their chieftain fell. The Frost Giant Chieftain was slain in single combat by Prince Thand ( Thand Ironhammer of HAMMER HALL, 8th Born son of Gond).
King Gond had left a Scroll of Kingship (Last Will & Testament) with his Royal advisor's that was to be read upon his Death. see King Gond Stormhammer's Scroll of Kingship.
