Falazaar's Keep

Written by Loremaster Aemon

A Stone Figurine of a Round Tower Keep   The figurine is made from a Yellowish-White coloured Sandstone which is a miniature version of a round Castle Keep. The figurine is small being six inches (6") by two inches (2") in diameter and weighing only five pounds (5lbs). A rare item of magical nature created by a Wizard of high standing (20th level or more), unique in appearance on the inside and outside, but not the only one in existence. This particular item was created by the Wizard Falazaar of Emidia.   To activate: The figurine must be placed upon an earth, sand, or stone surface (as flat or even as possible), then the activation word spoken aloud (this word should be carved into the base of the figurine). The figurine will transform into a real stone keep, ninety feet (90ft) tall by fifty feet (50ft) in diameter, with a reinforced iron door and arrow slit windows, that will remain for twenty-four hours (24hrs). Once used the keep cannot be summoned again for seven days.   Inside there are three floors:

Ground Floor

On the ground floor there is a well of fresh water with a wooden bucket, and a kitchen cooking area outfitted with crates, sacks, and barrels of food storage to last up to twenty-four hours (24hrs) for ten people. There is also stabling for up to twelve horses. The kitchen area has oil lamps for lighting. Stairs spiral up to the next floor.

First Floor

The first floor has a large oak table and benches, four sets of bunk beds, a chest at the foot of each, a dresser, shelves, and a large weapon rack. The room has oil lamps for lighting. Stairs spiral up to the next floor.

Second Floor

The second floor is furnished with a double bed, two padded chairs, a small table, a dresser, a desk, a bookcase, a wardrobe, two chests, and a small weapon rack. The room has oil lamps for lighting. On the ceiling is a trapdoor that opens up to the roof battlements, a ladder is hung on brackets upon the wall.

How to Damage & Destroy

The Figurine

The stone figurine has an AC 18 (Armour Class), to penetrate a roll of nineteen (19) is needed on a D20 plus bonus modifiers. Next a roll of seventeen (17) or more is needed on the damage die to penetrate the outer layer, known as Threshold Damage, which is sixteen (16). If the damage roll is sixteen (16) or under the figurine takes no damage, a roll of seventeen (17) or more is needed to break through, roll for damage again, the amount on the die is taken off of the Hit Point total, which is forty (40hp).

The Keep

The Stone keep is not that easy to destroy: firstly you must penetrate the AC 22 rolling a combined total of twenty three (23) or more on a D20. Next a roll of twenty three (23) or more is needed on the Damage Die, this is to penetrate the outer layer of the item, this is known as Threshold Damage. If the Damage die is twenty two (22) or under no actual damage is made upon the Stone, but if twenty three (23) or more is rolled, then a second Damage roll is made, this amount is then taken off of the Hit Point Total of the Keep which is four hundred (400hp).

The Iron Door

The Iron door is weaker than the actual stone keep, having an AC 20, a combined total of twenty one (21) or more on a D20 hits. Next roll the Damage die, a twenty one (21) or more is needed to penetrate the Threshold Damage and cause damage. Roll the damage die again, needing twenty one (21) or more again, this amount is then taken off of the Hit Point Total of the Door which is one hundred and fifty (150hp).       *** Unfinished ***
