Led by the Hou-ou, Minato ascends Hououtaku's highest mountain and obtains the legendary sword Osameru Ken. With this sword he also obtains the blessing of the Hou-ou and the promise that nature will bend to his will.
Construction begins on Tenshu castle, the stronghold from which Mikado will rule the islands.
Mikado's elder brother-in-law Takahisa arrives at Tenshu castle. He is the first to build his family into the clan Ougan, making him Ougan no Takahisa. He comes with four sons, with Takakazu being the eldest.
Mikado marries his first wife Eboshi in the gardens of the newly constructed Tenshu castle.
Mikado forms his famous warrior organization known as the Gaishougun. Members in its founding include Saiso no Yoromasa, Oukatsu no Hashimono, Kenda no Konosomu, and Ougan no Takahisa's son Takakazu.
In what is now called Keikokujo in Houou Province, the kingdom (or perhaps empire) of Keikujo is born.
Kureyasu is born to Mikado and Eboshi.
Eboshi dies of a mysterious illness. Mikado then goes into many years of grieving, given solace only by the quests of his warriors.
After mourning Eboshi, Mikado remmaries. His new wife is Nago, who would join Kureyasu in his betrayal.
After the death of several messengers to the oni on Onkai, Mikado and the Gaishougun declared war upon them. Many lives were lost in the ensuing battles, but the forces of Keikujo took many oni heads. In the end, the oni king was forced to sue for peace.
Kureyasu betrays his father, eloping with his stepmother and fleeing with a small army of traitorous warriors.
All the greatest warriors serving Mikado and Kureyasu meet on the plains of Daishu to negotiate, but it turns into a pitched battle. In the end, almost no one survives.
In the wake of the battle of Kinmyaku, Mikado was struck down. His body was born to the mountains and buried presumably out of mortal reach.
With no heirs to claim the title of Mikado from the deceased ruler, Shitan no Kommonsuke is elected to rule Keikujo in his place. His clan goes on to rule for many centuries.
