Session 5

General Summary

Session began with the party investigating the room where they had seen Erius, who was no longer present. They found a note that said "I appreciate your interest in my studies, but cannot allow distractions at this time. If you manage to survive Cinder, perhaps we will meet again. ~Erius" followed by a magic circle on the floor in the room activating, summoning a fire/water elemental.
The elemental, Cinder, managed to knock out Mari and Morthil, before it was defeated.
The party then returned to Wildrock to inform the mayor about the potential dangers in the tower posed by the elemental orbs. Afterwards, they returned to the inn to settle down for the night. They told some stories of their past, getting to know each other better.
The next day they spoke to an older woman by the name of Old Helga, who told them what she knew of Erius, for the price of a few silver. She told about how she worked at an orphanage before living in Wildrock in a town of Rockton, which burned down about 20 years ago in unexplained circumstances. Erius was at the orphanage, often staring into and talking to fire.
The party then returned to The Academy. Along the way, Sebastian and Heeth confirmed that something weird is going on with Mari's sword, causing her to refuse to be parted with it and sometimes filling her with an insatiable bloodlust.
While at the Academy, they received an invitation from Ivan Eastgard to visit him in Calchester to discuss a possible business arrangement regarding adventuring.
Cirrus found that a villager in Millstone need helps, believing her daughter is bewitched, which caught his eye to investigate.
The party traveled to Millstone, found the woman, Milni Settlestone and her daughter Trix Settlestone. After a short interaction with Trix and a small ivory looking mirror, Trix became distraught that the mirror "stopped working" and that Sebastian has "broken it". They convinced her to take her to where "Grandma" gave her the mirror in the first place, whereupon she led them to an old, disused windmill.
As Cirrus and Mari approached the door, Sebastian cast Detect Magic...
