Session 18 Report

General Summary

8th Camue

The party began in conversation with Ivan Eastgard in Calchester. Ivan officially granted Sebastian the land and title of Baronete of Rythey. He also warned him about Baron Topher Carac having machinations about taking Rythey for himself. Afterwards, the party collected two dozen eggs from the kitchen and departed the castle. Sebastian found Jedbir in the inn. Jedbir asked for aid in recovering his airship from a dragon's lair nearby, in exchange, he would build another ship once it is possible and supplies were available for the party. That evening, the party traveled about and hour to the east of Calchester to cook up an egg and attempt making a wish. The wish was "We want you to teleport safely and alive Niala, daughter of Cirrus, from her location somewhere in the Falstromi Empire to this location, as soon as I cook this egg". To the surprise of the party, this worked and brought Nialla to them. She, however, was none to happy about the occurance, and tried to flee from them. After being "captured", Cirrus tried to explain to her that she was his daughter, but she was having none of it. They found out she was happily living in Fal'Nostrom and was engaged to be married. To someone who is essentially a prince there, Dosashi. This development caused the party to realize how much of a mistake they had potentially made, potentially having caused a war, should Nialla return and tell her soon to be husband, or anyone else, where she had been and who was responsible. the party scrambled to think of a plan for how to return her back to Fal'Nostrom. They decided that Erius might be able to teleport her back, should they be able to learn the teleportation sigils for a circle in Fal'Nostrom. Fortunately, Nialla knew of a circle and its sigils. They had Jedbir contact Erius, who teleported into Nubis to meet them. 9th Camue Once in Nubis, Sebastian disguised himself to avoid confrontation like last time they were in the city and Jedbir offered some Dust of Concealment to hide him from any divination magic that might be seeking him. Cirrus sought out a Cleric to cast Zone of Truth and told his entire story to Nialla to prove to her that what he was saying was in fact what had happened. She believed him, but was incredibly angry for him having sold her off in the first place and for taking her from her home. She took the carving of her true-mother and the information about her that Cirrus could offer and departed. With Cirrus's hope for reuniting his family dashed, the party returned to Calchester for the night, where Cirrus got in a bar fight, which he mostly lost. 10th Camue The party departed Calchester with Jedbir and Erius to recover Jedbir's airship from the young dragon that had claimed it. 11th Camue The party finds the dragon's lair and makes their way inside, the dragon demanded they turn over the coin they have, Cirrus begins to drop what he has, then charges the dragon. Shay quickly commands it to Grovel, which luckily succeeds, allowing the party to quickly and decisively take it down. They loot its horde of coin and collect 30 teeth, 4 leg bones, 1 claw, 2 fangs from the corpse.
