Session 12 Report

General Summary

Party started arriving in Nubis on the evening of the 25th. That evening, while eating dinner in The Squirrel Inn, a dwarvan women approached the party and asked if they were interested in a job. In the morning, they went to Proleth's manor to find out what the job would be. They found that he wanted them to infiltrate a catacombs under the Grey Temple's complex and retrieve an artifact. Once they got into the temple, they were discovered by a monk, this led to them getting trapped between the monk that discovered them and a room with more monks in it. After a drawn out combat encounter where they avoided hurting the monks as much as possible(Other than Cirrus and Heath, who had blood on the mind), they were convinced to stand down. Tabris was summoned and the party spoke to him about why they were there. After informing him about seeking an artifact and him assuring them that nothing within the vault would save any lives, they departed the catacombs to meet with a trio of Circle of the Chalice knights. They returned to Proleth's manor and demanded their payment. While waiting, he demanded to see the artifact. When the darkness enveloped him, he attacked. After killing him, the knights took the sentient sword that he was carrying, but allowed the party to take the Insignia of Claws and Green Dragon Mask that he had on his body, as well as a large allotment of gold. Before leaving the city, they went to various magic item shops to find anything useful to buy, acquiring a +1 Longbow for Sheila and a number of ciphers.
