Kavrillia (Kav-RILL-ee-uh)
The planet Kavrillia hangs in space like a sapphire against a black velvet backdrop, bedecked with white swirls of clouds. Among the system’s seven planets, only this one is blessed with life.
Three moons orbit Kavrillia. Two are small, dark lumps of rock, and one is much larger, rounder, lighter in color, and brighter in the sky. This striking orb is known as the Sky Pearl by Lanarians.
For over four thousand years the planet had been united under the banner of the Lanarian Empire. Then, in 4203, the Vincaran people fought and won their independence, founding the Vincaran Federation.
Geography
Kavrillia is a world of islands, from tropical atolls that ring the equator to larger isles in the higher latitudes. Only two are large enough to be called continents: Vancorra and Lanaria.
Vancorra covers roughly a third of the southern hemisphere, teeming with jungles and swamps in the north and high, arid mountains in the south, with the vast Tanat River delta in between.
Lanaria dominates the northern hemisphere from pole to equator. A forbidding chain of mountains runs east to west across the northern part of the continent, and as the climate grows more temperate the land levels off to sweeping plains and vast forests. The southern coast is ripe with fruit plantations.
Kavrillia has a 26-hour day. The prime meridian runs through the observatory at Yanshel. The date line is in the ocean between Aurnaleth and Pledaria.

Animals native to Kavrillia include skiraks, grekks, warvcallies, camlitzes, yubolnas and ponatlocusts.
Important crops are the brepon, graquent, and hajak plants.
The only sentient species is the Kavrillian.
