Skylar Thane (he/they) is a character played by Bonn (they/them) in A Trip to Shade City, A Tiresian Archives Nonfiction One-shot. They are a fairy oath of devotion paladin with the athlete background.
Description
Skylar is a 3'6 fairy with mid-length golden curls that are typically tied back with some sort of ribbon or chord. He has green eyes and pale skin that has a pearlescent sort of glow in the sunlight. They take after his father in build, lithe and lanky, though his wings are like those of their mother. They're translucent and iridescent, like thin slices of fire opal. In his death, the left side of his face is marred by an inky black scar that originates at their (missing) eye and spreads across to his hairline and down his jaw.
In life, Skylar was a bright child, a go-getter with a mischievous streak and a talent for getting in trouble. They were always the first to defend their friends and family, adrenaline was constantly coursing through his veins. He's always been one to run head-first into things, a real "act first, ask later" type of kid. Sky's loyal to a fault, even in death, all he wants is to find their family to bring them some peace.
Backstory
Skylar was the oldest child of his parents, Magdalene and Montgomery Thane, and the older brother to his sister, Sunny. The family was always very close, and growing up in the feywild, Skylar and Sunny got up to plenty of trouble and mischief. Sky had a good group of friends that he grew up with, and they always had aspirations of being adventurers and seeing the world. Those aspirations ended up coming to fruition, but it didn't take long for the group to dive in way too deep, and they ended up ambushing what they thought was a group of bandits that stole from them, but ended up being a demilich. Only one of them survived the fight.
