Nature's Marriage
We are rooted to this spot for eternity.
Our arteries and veins intertwined.
Steadfast and wise.
Guardian’s of the earth.
Living and dying a perpetual cycle.
In springtime our beauty blossoms,
As we drink from our friend the Rain.
In summertime we are clothed in emerald leaf,
Absorbing energy from our Father the Sun.
In Autumn we shed our leaves,
And do a fiery dance for our cousin the Wind.
The cold creeps upon us as we sleep,
The sleep of the dead. Our Winter buds
Watching for signs that we should
Prepare again for Nature’s Ball,
And act as a beacon to all.
A guide for what’s important
As you travel through the seasons of your life.
