Physical Description
General Physical Condition
The goddess Mitna almost always shown or described as a middle-aged woman, though she sometimes appears as a grandmotherly matron.
Body Features
Mitna's skin is dark like the night sky and dotted with stars like freckles. She usually appears tall and broad shouldered, muscular and scarred like a warrior. When depicted as a matron, her face is often hidden beneath a hood or shawl and she is bent from time, needing a cane to walk and having withered hands.
Facial Features
Mitna is normally depicted with high cheekbones and a strong jaw. A scar is visible somewhere on her face, usually over one eye. Her expression is either one of stern defiance or wistful remembrance.
Apparel & Accessories
Mitna is usually shown wearing fur and bone armor and bearing some kind of weapon, most often a spear. Otherwise, she is covered in a death shroud, though she is never shown as actually being dead.

Essir and Mitna are said to have been born at the same moment, near the beginning of the cosmos.
