Blessing Bowl

History

Long ago, when the Singers of Songs first visited Navaravu, they were quite impressed with this beautiful world and its kind people, so they gifted each of the five clans with a special bowl as a token of their esteem. The people of Navaravu considered it a great honor to receive such precious gifts from the Singers of Songs, so these special bowls became cherished heirlooms that are known as family blessing bowls and have been cared for by and passed down through generations of Clan Mothers. From then right up until the present day, the bowls have been used to hold water for blessing during the Rite of Motherhood when the title of Clan Mother is passed from mother to daughter.

DESIGN

The five blessing bowls were created by Bliss At One The Mystic Rose who is the ruler of Astrocyan Realm #34. They are all identical in size, shape and material, but the inside of each bowl is decorated with a different design that reflects the type of water each clan is associated with.

• Varavu Clan of ocean water - decorated with seashell and wave designs

• Sahanavu Clan of running water - decorated with lavarhonda blossom and ripple designs

• Lahanavu Clan of still water - decorated with lisia flower designs surrounding a central circle polished to the point where you can see your reflection

• Ziravu Clan of frozen water - decorated with niralana berry and snowflake designs

• Zizanavu Clan of atmospheric water - decorated with baby zirana blossom and misty dew drop designs
