As you enter the city for the first time, you see many boats on the dock of various designs and conditions in the cove. There is a giant wooden wall that outlines the city with several guard towers that poke through. Getting off the boat onto the dock you see a busy city, there is a hustle and bustle. even if it's night, people are loading or unloading boats. You smell sawdust and salt. Forest and ocean.

This is a new city. Things look to be constructed in the last 100 or 50 years, give or take. The other thing that stands out is how everything is made well. Wooden houses, inns, shops and other structures. The docks are sturdy and fresh.

The people look busy. Almost all humanoids from what you see. Various land-dwelling species. more than half in fact look like they stay on land. There are several woodworkers covered in sawdust, much more than any normal city you have seen before. Also pretty common are guards. Basic leather armor, swords and spears. They walk with purpose, like they own the place. As busy as some people are, they move out of the guard's way. There are some folks who don't quite fit in, they are made up of sailors and adventurers that mostly hang around the dock area not venturing far into the city.
