Deep Pyre

Immediately after The Descent, the previously inert mountain of Blackhearth shook as a chasm cracked open beneath its mines. Roaring pillars of flame and rock spewed forth up into the mountain, pushing great wealths of rare metals with it. Over the centuries, the residents of Blackhearth learned to harness this insane power, using it to power their city and improve their lives. The true source of the chasm is still unknown.
