Venad Sistolfyi's wore many hats throughout his life - shaped by hardship - solidier, thrillseaker, missionary. And life always finds a way to twist him into more. He expected to spend no more than a Summer, or 2 seasons away from his Luze home. But now it's been 8 years. He met his wife, newly widowed, and ended up staying.
Though he sometimes fails to understand, he does like it here. But he's worried with war at their south and hostile forces at every other side. Will the traditions he's grown to love be smothered in say 50 years time? Or even before?
