The Draconian Sovereigns of Iskirthos (iz-KEER-thoss)
For milennia, the five Draconian Sovereigns were a single territory called Iskirthos governed by their five most prominent clans. Hundreds of years ago, they were taken over by Zaratka, and the clans' strong political presence was dissolved. Eventually, carrying the name of a once powerful clan became little more than a name. When Zaratka's leadership was assassinated, a faction of the Iskirthos region rebelled and managed to win Iskirthos's freedom back from Zaratka. The clans were restored to their former positions of power, but they hadn't had those positions in hundreds of years, and some were hardly fit for it. In the last few decades, the clans have broken off, each with their own agendas for either their own lands or Iskirthos as a whole.
Svirdyn
Svirdyn is led by the Belarrak clan, headed by the gold dragonborn Arush Belarrak. The Belarrak clan is, more or less, united in its belief that Svirdyn should be its own independant nation. If any of the Belarraks disagree, they are quiet about it. This is likely for the best, as Svirdyn is currently focused completely on defending itself from Tvatsk.Tvatsk
Tvatsk is led by the Prexijandilin clan, headed by the white dragonborn Elishad Prexijandilin. The Prexijandilin clan is fiercely united in their nationalism. They believe that they can create a new, more powerful Iskirthos by uniting all the territories under clan Prexijandilin. Although she is famously put together in her diplomatic relations, she tends to lead with her military first, filling her role as both a leader and a general from her seat in Rhabatuul, the former capital of Iskirthos.Uthkel
Uthkel is led by the Gethmara clan, headed by the silver dragonborn Vignar Gethmara. Vignar has very little interest in reforming Iskirthos. He believes that it's more important to restore the clans to their former glory and power, and that the best way to do this is through expansion and fear. Uthkel is pressed against the mountains, and Vignar is determined to take the lands of Althruel beyond them. He frequently entreats Tvatsk and Mrak to join him in his conquests, and although it could be a turning point in his standstill with the elves of Althruel, Tvatsk is focused on reuniting Iskirthos, and Mrak has no interest in military operations.Mrak
Mrak is led by the Delmirev clan, headed by the red dragonborn Lauthrix Delmirev. She is insistent on keeping the people of Mrak in peace, and she has thus far avoided any major conflicts with the rest of the territories. This tenuous peace could end in a second, and many of Mrak's residents believe it should, but Lauthrix is determined to keep war away from Mrak for as long as she can, in whatever way she can.Rös
Rös is led by the Tsivakli clan, headed by the blue dragonborn Malirev Tsivakli. Malirev has, thus far, kept Rös from war, but he has always been in favor of a single, united Ikarthos, and the people who support him for that belief are starting to lose faith in him. It seems like he may be looking for allies to help him unite the territories under the clans with more forceful methods than he's been applying.Pictured: Rhabatuul, former capital of Iskirthos, now the seat of power in Tvatsk.

Government. Each nation is currently being governed by the head of one of the clans that ruled Iskirthos. Each chief is advised by other clans and members of their own clans, but ultimately the final decisions fall on the chief.
Demographics. Many dragonborn filtered into the rest of Zaratka when Iskirthos was incorporated, but the Iskirthos region remained mostly dragonborn, which is still the case. There are other residents in Iskirthos, and they are well enough received, but respect comes from having a clan, and being without one makes it difficult to find a comfortable place in Iskirthian society.
Military and Defense. The draconian militaries are well-trained and well-armed, but they believe in honorable combat, and their generals will almost always send a declaration of war before an attack. If a general were to break this unspoken rule, their own armies would likely turn against them.
Economy. Iskirthos used to be a major exporter of ore and gems from the mountains; since its dissolution, Svirdyn and Rös have no access to the mountains, and are currently relying mostly on their internal industry. Meanwhile, Tvatsk, Uthkel, and Mrak are mostly using their own resources. The warring nations are certainly importing weaponry, but mostly they're hiring weaponsmiths to forge from their own resources. Agricultural produce has also become a major import, as only a handful of food grows well in the rocky Kras'Kora Mountains.
