Tarmec's Rovers
Tarmec's Rovers is a group of gnolls that follow Tarmec, one of the beast demons. They are mainly characterized by their blackened teeth and claws and the specific black fang necklace they wear.
Goals and execution
The main goal of Tarmec's Rovers is to ascend Tarmec into becoming one of the demon lords of the Abyss and thus gaining more power from him and expand their territory in Tarmec's name. In order to ascend Tarmec, the gnolls perform various rituals on humanoids before sacrificing them into the Crack. The gnolls raid farms, villages and sometimes trading caravans across the Rover Hills to gather humanoids for this process.Territory
Tarmec's Rovers roam the plains between the Burram Woods and the Crack. While it was historically known by a different name, the plains are now known as the Rover's Hills. These plains has shallow hills the gnolls use to hide in and to setup their temporary camps.
Within the Rover's Hills, the gnolls have two important sites. The first one is their main encampment, which is a tent camp surrounded by a crude palisade. The other site is the Tarmec ritual site, which the gnolls use to perform their rituals. The ritual site is located next to the Crack, about one day walking south of the main encampment.
While Tarmec's Rovers do not fully occupy the Rover Hills, their presence there has deterred trade from freely moving through the plains.
Organization
Tarmec's Rovers are lead by Vokk, Tarmec's Fang, who has gained the most power from Tarmec and performs the rituals and sacrifices. He commands one pack lords, who lead the main gnoll pack from the encampment. Under the pack lord are five flesh gnawers, each having their own group of gnolls, hunters and witherlings. Giant hyenas are used as mounts by various gnolls and normal hyenas are used as hunting dogs.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
Ooh, slightly creepy! I like it. They truly sound fascinating! I also really like the map you included, it's a nice touch. Great job! :)
Thanks for the compliments! The map helps with showing distance and travel time for me, and gives readers a bit more of an idea where certain things are located relative to each other. (Also I need more places to show it off as I'm proud of what I made ;P)
