Kahilland

The dragons committed a crime, but they didn't know it at the time. They ripped a hole into Kahilland and set into motion a strange future. After their first transgression they settled this new world and delved into it's mysteries. The acts of the dragons to catalog and live in this strange new world slowly made their crime apparent, as new rifts appeared bearing other species. Over two thousand years they delved deeper and deeper, until one day the dragons set forth the Accord of 2243AB. This accord banished the dragons form Kahilland. Many dragons return to their home plane repopulating their ancient bastions, while others traversed the rifts to seek other places in the planes, and a few remained in the shadows.   While the great dragons had retreated the smaller species had set up homes and were unknowing to the transgressions of dragons. During the dragons reign legendary heroes had arisen to a kind of godhood, becoming know as patrons. The patrons took over the care of this new world, ruling as a pantheon on high, while seeking out the greater threats to the world. Some betrayed the values of the pantheon and others never held to its tenants becoming threats unto themselves.
