Kingdom of Brayd

The Kingdom of Brayd was a monarchy formed during the Age of Rebuilding. Senturis Brayd formed a secure township in the protected hills adjacent to the Sentrum River. 
Senturis's leadership prioritized food production, and this enabled the town to take in a large population of refugees, including a number of elves. This additional population helped the town survive the famines and plagues that ravaged Thrask in the early 600's.
Senturis's son Gerrelion consolidated the power of the growing city into a regional power, and was elected into power, beginning a dynasty that lasted over 500 years, before the actions of the last king of Brayd, Hamlinius, was so disasterous that his own daughter, Catrinia, killed him and instituted a republic.
