Personal history
The youngest of the Children of Iris, Violet spent her entire life being coddled, babied and asked to do the gentlest of things. Play this song, Violet, deliver this message to Hebe over yonder but not too far. Maybe that's too far alone. Maybe take your sister Amber, oh she's busy? Puce. Take Puce, no complaining now, it'll mar your pretty face. There's a good girl. While taking full advantage of the dotage, Violet dreamed of leaving the Hellene Realm and lands of Olympus to see Midgard for herself.
The Mystic War prevented any such desires being voiced. One by one, her siblings suffered a war of attrition. Messengers in the battlefield ought not have had bright, iridescent wings. Violet's parents kept her closer to home.
A chance meeting with Aphrodite Venus Ourania upon delivering another missive from Hera Juno Olympia to Hebe shifted the course of Violet's insular life. She was invited to play for Aphrodite, when the Goddess was visiting, asked to help Hebe serve wine & tea. Got to taste mysterious biscuits which came in odd Midgardian wrappings, sipped this beverage known as coffee and listened to the idle chatter of goddesses and sisters-in-law Hebe & Aphrodite, sometimes with Hera and the odd occasion Persephone in the mix.
When The Mystic Truce began, Violet thought her chance to leave the Hellene Realm was upon her. Alas, but she had responsibilities! Who was going to help Hebe? Who would serve and coordinate the staff?
One day, when all her siblings were out delivering messages, Hebe rushed to Violet. There was a desperate missive to be sent! Quick! Fast as a sunbeam, to Aphrodite, make haste!
But Aphrodite was in the Middling Plane with her spouses and children... did she want to travel or not?
Clutching the message for Aphrodite, Violet launched into the sky and through the Realm Door to the Axis Mundi. The chaos overwhelmed and surrounded her, a cacophony she was completely incapable of handling in her serene world. But, her innate sense of proximity had the girl swerve and make her way to Aphrodite. A frightful wide-eyed, haggard thing, Violet didn't smooth her dress or hair before meeting Ares at the edge of the Compound. He made her a cup of coffee, and sat her down by the pools flowing down to the lake. She sipped the hot liquid, let its bitterness jar her and slowly began to right herself. It was then, she noticed Ares wasn't alone. He and his spouse Leonidas Olympia were training with a small group, what she would later learn was an Enomotia. And in that Enomotia was a vivacious and rather large figure.
