Path of the Berserker in Jordaheim | World Anvil

Path of the Berserker

For some barbarians, rage is a means to an end - that end being violence. The Path of the Berserker is a path of untrammeled fury, slick with blood. As you enter the berserker's rage, you thrill in the chaos of battle, heedless of your own health or well-being.

Frenzy

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, your rage become a frenzy. On any turn that you enter your Frenzy Rage with your bonus action, you can make a single melee attack as part of that same bonus action, and for the duration of your frenzy rage you can make a single melee weapon attack as a bonus action on each of your turns. However, if you get a 10 or les on the d20 die for any attack roll you make while raging, any creature within melee range can use their reaction to make a opportunity attack against you.

Mindless Rage

Beginning at 6th level, you can't be charmed or frightened while raging. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the effect is suspended for the duration of the rage.

Retaliation

Starting at 10th level, when you take damage from a creature that is within your melee attack range, you can use your reaction to make a melee attack against that creature. If the result of the attack is 20 or more, you get your reaction back.

Intimidating Presence

Beginning at 14th level, you can use your bonus action to frighten someone with your menacing presence. When you do so, choose one creature that you can see within 30 feet of you. If the creature can see or hear you, it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier), provided the creature isn’t behind Total Cover. On a failed save, the creature has the Frightened condition for 1 minute.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest. If you’ve run out of uses of this feature, you can expend a use of your Rage, choosing to activate Intimidating Presence instead of Rage.
