Helthar

Helthar is the Aralanian goddess of healing, night, and sleep. She is the daughter of Ohena , god of civilization and leadership, and Abitur , goddess of love, beauty, and compassion. Helthar’s domain encompasses rest, recovery, and the gentle passage of time during the night. Often depicted as a serene figure holding a mortar and pestle, she is seen as the embodiment of both physical and spiritual healing.  Helthar represents the fusion of wisdom, compassion, and care. Her mother's calm, nurturing nature is combined with her father’s leadership and order, offering a softer balance to the often harsh realities of civilization.   In the myth "The Dance of the Four Seasons," Helthar plays a key part by waking @Maerud, the god of spring, from his winter sleep, helping the world transition from the cold of Etix's reign to the renewal of life. While her influence is often quiet and subtle, her ability to heal and offer peace makes her indispensable among the gods, often called upon when balance must be restored or when the body and spirit are in need of recovery.   Helthar is revered by healers, caregivers, and those seeking relief from pain and exhaustion. Her temples, often dimly lit and peaceful, serve as sanctuaries for the sick and the weary, where both physical and spiritual healing are provided. Helthar is invoked in rituals that seek to bring peace to troubled minds and relief to ailing bodies. Nighttime prayers are often offered to Helthar for restful sleep and recovery from illness. She is also prayed to during funerals, as her gentle nature and association with the night make her a comforting guide for those passing into the afterlife.
