Crest of Darkness

The Crest of Darkness is an item that stores magic. It prefers dark magic over any other kind. This preference has given it an evil nature. When you get close to it, you feel uneasy, worrisome, even aggressive. The person carrying it becomes overly selfish, manipulative, and in some cases, sadistic. The Crest of Darkness warps your mind.   People seek the Crest of Darkness for two main reasons. One is to destroy it. The other is to use it. As a vessel of dark magic, those with magical ability can use it to enhance their powers. It's so powerful that people without magic can cast some spells, but only spells from dark magic.   The way to destroy it is unclear. King Lukian, a man who had many visions, once held the Crest of Darkness in its infancy. By holding this object, he had a vision of its future and evil deeds, but he never told anyone the details of his vision. What we know is from someone present at the time who recorded mumblings by King Lukian forthcoming article. What we do know is that the person who will finally destroy the object will have a rough trial ahead of them, and will likely die as a result.
