Derk Sent

Derk was raised in the smithies of the blacksmith guild by his Half-Orc mother from a very young age. He grew into a mountain of a smith in his own right, learning the trade and becoming known in his own right. while solders and gaurdsmen might well have been outfitted with his craft and not know it many of the city folk know his makers mark well, found on many a cookery and cutlery. Derk strives for gaining even more knowledge and skill in his craft and loves to let people know his vast internalized tomes of blacksmithing lore. Though his weapons and armor craft are tried and true he prefers to make objects that everyday folk tend to use in the betterment of their lives. Pots, pans, carpenter axes, stone working chisels, and cobblers hammers. Tools, with which people make their own craft, show the skill and quality of the smith that made them. A well made tool can last generations longer than the being who made them. The greatest blacksmiths are already dead, but there craft lives on almost in infamy longer than the full name of the being who tempered their steel. Derk's one vision for his future is to become as well renowned as those late crafters. To have his makers mark be renowned and coveted across the realm. Though his skills at a young age are quite robust, he is prone to jealousy of other blacksmiths ability's and while able to respect their craft he always wishes to compete and be even better then his peers.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Well built, especialy for such a young Half-Orc. A decade of learning blacksmithing has made Derk into a mountain of muscle.

Body Features

At 6 feet tall Derk might not be the tallest of Half-Orcs, but his strength can visibly be seen at distance. Bristling with muscle and frame, his frame alone can fill even the largest of tavern doorways.

Facial Features

His skin is a Grey-Red, and eyes of Yellow, a bit intimidating at first glance, but keeps a soft smile as though he might burst into a loud chuckle at any point in time.

Identifying Characteristics

His arms and face are pokmarked from years in the Forge. A few large burn scars on his arms are easy to find, along with a number of blade scars from his time in the city watch.

Physical quirks

Prone to tapping his hammer as he forges as all blacksmiths do, he sometimes is found tapping his fingers or palmes on himself of tables if he is bored, much to the annoyance of his companions.

Special abilities

Able to see in almost pitch dark conditions as most Orc and Half-orc can.

Apparel & Accessories

He wears simple colored Traveling clothes most of the time with the sleeves rolled up. Even when in the forge all day, as they are most comfortable.

Specialized Equipment

Trained as a fighter at 14 when he joined the city watch by his Half-orc father.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Raised by his Half-Orc parents in the city. Mother taught him to be a blacksmith till the age of 17. At 17 he joined the city watch under the guidance of his father. At 20 he left the city watch to finish his Guild membership, much at the beheist of his father.

Education

Tri-Lingual. As a Guild Artisan he was taught to read and write, and is well read in his craft.

Works for the City Blacksmithing guild.

He has in order; oldest sister Riwar, oldest brother Tesk, older brother Bron, Himself, younger sister Olasha, youngest sister Gida. His parents are Harth, his father, and Brutah his mother.
