Dreadwolf

Named for the dread their distinctive howls instill in travelers, the dreadwolf is one of the most dangerous animals one can encounter when walking through a forest at night. Their huge size and incredible strength make them extremely affective at killing and their tough hides make them extremely difficult to kill. But that's not the worst of it. If you thought one sounded terrifying just wait until you encounter a whole pack.

How tough is their hide? That, plus their side and smarts, seem to be what sets them apart from regular wolfs: it's be awesome to know exactly how tough they are and all the scary stories about them surviving all kinds of attacks. :D
