Vin'trys Character in Jewels of Lockhinge | World Anvil

Vin'trys

The cervidae is the fey equivalent of a unicorn, wandering Sylvan forests on the Material Plane and in the Feywild. The cervidae resembles a large deer, with male and female alike bearing large and beautiful antlers hung with vines and flowers. Their fur, ears, and tail, however, are foxlike, reddish-orange with a white-tipped tail, and their oversized ears stand out to the sides like many other fey. Their faces are a blend between a fox and a unicorn, the eyes facing a bit more forward and the nose slightly more narrow than their Celestial counterparts.
- DnD Duet
Vin'trys is something of a patron creature for the druids that live in The Sacred Grove. She is very intelligent and can speak to other creatures telepathically, though her understanding of the world is far from that of a human's. She personally judges all new members of the Circle of Vin'trys before their joining, and many of its members have taken great solace in her forgiveness for past transgressions against fellow creatures.   She and Treekeeper have been friends for a very long time, and she is the one who encouraged them to become the druidic leader they are today.   For a time, they were captured and held prisoner by a desperate Adwyn Courts in Duskhollow, but was rescued and released back into the wild by the party.
