Murmur Character in Jewels of Lockhinge | World Anvil

Murmur

Murmur is the Chief Advocate of the Rangers Aeskethi   Rather short and slender for a Firbolg (only 7') and possessing strange features that mark them as being touched by the fey. Seasonal flowers sprout from their hair every morning, small horns poke up from their brow, and their ears are a little longer and more pointed than most of their kin. This, combined with the fact that their skin is brown and marked with pale spots/freckles, make them seem more like some sort of humanoid deer than giant-kin.   Murmur took their name from the omen that set them on their path--the babbling brooks run through the land like lifeblood, moving between all places, speaking and sustaining everywhere it goes. This omen is what sent them from their clan to act as an advocate between the peoples of the marsh and to make sure that the city of Lockhinge remains in harmony with the land around it. It is unclear whether Murmur has always been touched by fey, as the Firbolgs themselves are on some level, or if this was an event that occurred later in life. There are even rumors that Murmur's clan actually dwells in the Feywild, and that Murmur is acting as an emissary from there.
