After realizing sentience, Oracle knows it was used as a garbage disposal and cavern guardian by the two humans a long time ago.
After they stop feeding them a long time past before the troglodytes showed up and made the caverns a base. Fearing Oracle as like a demi-god because of their intelligence, the troglodytes consulted Oracle for advice and a sense of fortune telling. As payment they feed them, even granting requests of specific things.
Since CoCK has taken over the keep, Oracle is happy to have company and a companion in the stone giant. Baldo has even begun to teach them to read.
