Feline Tactical Gear

"Soldier's choice"
— Official slogan
Feline is a Linnessian company largely known for producing the majority of small arms for the peacemakers and council commando, making pistols, assault rifles, SMGs, and a slew of weapon mods that are widely used. Their weapons are popular because they're affordable, highly adjustable, and generally have good stability and accuracy. They also produce a large portion of the military equipment in use by the peacemakers and council commando such as transport crates, perimeter turrets, military bases, armour, and in collaboration with the Bylian Arms Company the Death Angel armours and the rhino gunships. They also produce a lot of the generic light to medium armour used by both civilians, the peacemakers, and the council commando. Ballistic vests, flak jackets, combined tactical vestments both civilian and military versions.   Feline weapons wear their customizability on their sleeves, having mod rails clearly visible all over the weapons. Their weapons are shipped with a standard stock, foregrip and red dot sight, all other mods need to be provided by the user. Their weapons overall have light grey polyester bodies that can be replaced by the user and they are known to be easily maintained because they are already built with users taking them apart in mind. All Feline weapons have excellent accuracy, fire rate and recoil control but much like weapons made by the Bylian Arms Company generally only load bullet or explosive rounds. Feline produces no Magical, Energy, Melee, Elemental, or Radiation weapons outside of a few very rare and expensive exceptions. Their weapons also have internal fire settings, meaning users can switch between semi auto, burst, and full auto with the flick of a dial usually on the side of the gun.   Feline weapons are favoured by standard infantry men and civilians alike for their light weight, reasonable prices and dependability. The design philosophy of "a bullet is a bullet" sees them used all across Jeslorian colonies ad these weapons are for people who have nothing to prove and are just seeking to protect their family, or soldiers who feel that a simple assault rifle does them more good than the specialized weapons from Instinct Technologies or the Bylian Arms Company.

FC-37 "Bulldog"

The Feline Bulldog is a large semi automatic double barrel shotgun that fires special flak shells that were used in the past for shooting down airplanes. The kickback on these shotguns is great enough to break the arms of anyone using anything less than heavy power armour. For a shotgun, it has great range and with pellets the size of marbles it is capable of shooting planes out of the air, punch through other heavy power armour, and shoot clouds of lead through smaller crowds of xenos. At close ranges it is even able to pierce tank armour. The bulldog is an incredibly powerful weapon, with its main drawback being the incredible kickback.   For the punch it packs, the bulldog even has respectable fire rate. It is semi automatic and relies on a counter weight and gyroscope technology to help control the recoil. It has plenty of rails for weapon mods, a custom with Feline weapons. The Mark 1 comes with an underbarrel vortex launcher (vortex launchers are 3 micro rockets fired in a spiral pattern which extends the range and damage, while the mark 2 has sticky grenades that can be set to a timer or detonated manually. Raiders and DROP troopers use the sticky grenades to tear down walls or stuff targets with bombs before detonating all of them, Vortexes are used for attacking armoured targets.   There is a civilian 12g version available, but even these have near uncontrollable kickback, but at least it is usable without power armour. The Bulldog was made in collaboration with Dozer industries, the Bylian Arms Company and Instinct technologies. Dozer was in charge of designing the built in sticky bomb launcher, the bylian arms company designed the see through mags, the shells used by the weapon, and the jam failsafes for the sticky bomb launcher, and Instinct Technologies made the armour links and ammo monitors built into the weapon.   Type: Assault Shotgun
Range: Medium
Fire rate: Medium
Magazine: 26 (2 shells are used each shot)
Damage: Devestating
Damage Type: Ballistic
Weight Class: Megaton

MG-3288

The MG-3288 is the standard issue assault rifle used by the peacemakers. Produced by feline, it ticks all the boxes of traits that Feline prides itself in, which is exactly why it's the default used by anything from recruits to experienced soldiers in the peacemakers. The M3288 has been chosen by the peacemakers as its standard issue for the following traits:
  • Firerate of 600 rounds per minute
  • Adjustable red dot sight with 1.5x zoom
  • 25 round magazine
  • High damage for an assault rifle, firing .308 BAC rounds
  • Respectable accuracy and modest recoil
  • Built in underbarrel rocket launcher
  • Switchable between 3 round burst and full auto
Much like any other weapon produced by feline, the M3288 is extremely customizable, with the only fixed attachment being the underbarrel rocket launcher which is operated exactly like a grenade launcher. A rocket launcher was chosen over a grenade launcher as rockets have a larger blast radius, generally better damage, better destruction ability, and are harder to avoid. The main drawback is that it takes a second longer to reload, it's a bit more expensive, and rockets can't arch over walls.   Type: Assault Rifle
Range: Medium long
Fire rate: Above average
Magazine: 25
Damage: High
Damage Type: Ballistic/explosive
Weight class: Medium
Handling: Two handed
Price: 30 Cyber Credits

SR-46

The SR-46 is the go to for military marksman as it is renowned for its accuracy and ease of use. It is the only 50 calibre sniper rifle not requiring any special training while being semi automatic. It boasts an advanced counter recoil system which reduces sway when holding the rifle while standing and minimizes recoil. It's rumoured the SR-46 was the first attempt at a weapon capable of firing UR-Ca, as Feline is known to have been approached by a representative of the Bylian Arms Company. It would certainly explain the recoil dampening technology present in the weapon, but ultimately it was not enough to contain an UR-Ca round and when the BAC in collaboration with Instinct had found a solution (which became the Knightbreaker and Kingslayer), the project was abandoned. It is believed that Feline took the prototype of the rifle they worked on with the BAC and modified it to fire other high caliber ammunition.   The SR-25 is an excellent rifle, used by the snipers of the peacemakers, the scavengers, hazard rangers, pathfinders, rescuerangers, galleons, and even the DROP troopers. Almost everyone in the military uses it, except for the the roamers, who use the most powerful sniper rifle known to Jeslorian science are sometimes seen using an SR-46, usually to preserve UR-Ca ammo, but they generally prefer Fusiondrivers. It is immensely popular, with a civilian version (designation SR-44) chambered in 30-30 for hunting and a peacekeeper version chambered for 500 nitro express (designation SR-45) for law enforcement and the apprehension of terrorists.   Type: Sniper rifle
Range: Extremely long
Firerate: Medium
Magazine: 7
Damage: Extremely high
Damage Type: Ballistic
Weight class: Medium
Handling: Two handed

AP-10

The AP-10 Is a fully automatic assault pistol that is very popular among the freelancers of Jeslore, from bounty hunters to mercenaries. Using an AP-10 is almost a rite of passage for those looking to do anything in the market of private eyes, mercenaries, and bodyguards. Its high firerate and generous damage as well as the modest recoil make it perfect for peppering a small group of targets at close range, or absolutely swiss cheesing a single target. However, the awkward shape and size of the gun make the purchase of a holster necessary, as it might get stuck behind clothes otherwise. It fires 9mm rounds and supports a wide variety of mods, from underbarrel grips (pictured) to silencers and lasers.   Type: Handgun
Range: Short
Firerate: High
Magazine: 40
Damage: Moderate
Damage Type: Ballistic
Weight class: Light
Handling: Hand and a half
Price: 1,5 Cyber Credits

AS-23

The AS-23 is the preferred weapon of colonial security forces for its simplicity and lethality. 8 rounds, high damage, reliable, built in flash light. It's not a miracle that security forces who often face off against hostile xenos relentlessly praise the AS-23. But due to the fact it is not just available on the civilian market, but is also one of the most popular weapons on the market, the AS-23 is the most sold weapon in Jeslorian colonies. Almost everyone owns an AS-23.   Part of its popularity is the excellent rate of fire on account of Feline using polishable metals that allow for quick and easy sliding of the rack, as well as a unique tube magazine which holds 8 shells that is slid into the top of the weapon after ejecting the previous magazine. Once a magazine is depleted, the rack can be slid all the way to the back, ejecting the empty magazine. It also has a built in assault flashlight, respectable power, an adjustable stock and excellent accuracy for a shotgun. This makes the AS-23 an excellent and versatile weapon both soldiers and civilians can depend on.   Type: Shotgun
Range: Short
Firerate: Medium
Magazine: 8
Damage: Very high
Damage type: Ballistic
Weight Class: Light
Handling: Two handed
Price: 6 Cyber Credits

MG-67

The MG-67 is a powerful 9 barrel minigun that fires 20mm rounds at dizzying speeds. It takes a second to wind up its barrels but once they are ready, the MG-67 can unleash a barrage of lead that will shred almost anything. The MG-67 is often mounted on vehicles but it is also known to be carried around the battlefield by heavies for mobile area denial. The portable ones come with a small detachable box magazine that is attached under the barrel while mounted ones are belt fed.   Type: Mitrailleur
Range: Medium-long
Firerate: Extremely high
Magazine: 1000
Damage: High
Damage type: Ballistic
Weight class: Megaton
Handling: Two handed
Price: 260 Cyber Credits

HS-70

The HS-70 is a suit of power armour favoured by heavy gunners, demolitionists, frontline medics, and field coordinators. It is resilient enough to protect against a single 50 cal shot and allows the user just enough time in the open to assess the situation, launch a couple of explosives, or carry injured allies back to safety. It is also often used as a diving suit, as it was made in collaboration with Wetwork and can stay underwater for 9 hours. The suit comes with an emergency defibrilator to wake the user up if they take a bad hit and has blast reflective weaves making up the base suit, which makes the HS-70 the only medium power armour suit capable of tanking heavy explosives consistently. The HS-70 suits are often used as by soldiers who applied to join the raiders, as this suit functions quite similarly. The user interface was commissioned from Instinct technology and works beautifully, it can track targets, show objectives and routes, and even has a built in television for during breaks. Lastly the frame designed by dozer is capable of firing heavy weapons such as the tankbuster (pictured) with one hand and it also allows the user to lift smaller vehicles.   Type: Power armour
Resilience: Very high
Resistances: Ballistic (-40%), Energy (-70%), Explosives (25%)
Weight class: Heavy
Price: 100 Cyber Credits

HP-3 "Jaguar"

The HP-3 was another deal between the government and Feline that fell through. When the Roamers had their equipment renowned, a new sidearm had to be developed and Feline, who was known for reliability was approached. The government had commissioned 3 companies to develop a handgun for the roamers: Bylian Arms Company, Feline, and Wetwork. The pistol submitted by Wetwork won first price, as the salamander-pc8 was adopted as the official sidearm for the roamers, under the new name Roamer Handcannon. The pistol submitted by the BAC was taken as the sidearm for the stormtroopers and pointmen, which is now known as the signature 45. Feline lost, but the weapon they submitted was not used by any of the death angel ranks, and it is also very unpopular in the military for its sluggish firerate and intense kickback. The weapon just didn't lend itself well enough to fast paced tactical combat. What it did lend itself well to with the .50 action express ammo and intimidating size was law enforcers.   While it may not have become a symbol like the roamer handcannon and signature 45, the HP-3 found popularity with sherriffs and state troopers in the peacekeepers who would much rather scare someone into standing down than enter combat. But if push comes to shove, the high caliber ammunition fired by the HP-3 can shoot through car doors and is enough to send someone flying at close range. Law enforcers refer to the HP-3 as the cat with claws (most oftenly referred to as jaguar or jag) for the fact it looks intimidating but can also back up its display.   Type: Revolver
Range: Medium long
Firerate: Low
Magazine: 6
Damage: Very high
Damage type: Ballistic
Weight class: Heavy
Handling: Hand and a half
Price: 18 Cyber Credits

HP-4 "Panther"

The HP-4 is a large pistol with a trigger guard that covers the entire hand. It fires heavy ammunition, which is why the trigger guard often doubles for a foregrip to help control the recoil. It has a respectable firerate and very low recoil for a weapon of its calibre. It tis a widely loved weapon for its newbie friendly useage, heavy but accessible ammo, and the fact it has accuracy on par with a lot of rifles. In fact, most militias use the HP-4 as a sort of pseudo rifle, and it is the standard issue for the BioCon troopers, sector sweepers, and colonial technicians. It is specifically loved among the colonial technicians, most of which are bachelor's degrees in sanitary engineering or things of that nature who up until their employment have never even seen a gun this powerful up close. They love that even though this weapon is issued to a function somewhere a janitor, a repairman, and a computer technicion, some of the most elite soldiers in the military can attest that it is a very solid weapon.   Its power against xenos that may lurk in colonial sewers or predators that roam the outside of a colony in combination with its colour has earned it the nickname "the panther".   Type: Handgun
Range: Medium
Firerate: Medium
Magazine: 20
Damage: High
Damage type: Ballistic
Weight class: Light
Handling: Hand and a half
Price: 20 Cyber Credits

GL-47

The GL-47 is Feline's pump action answer to the 1-2 grenade launcher from the Bylian arms company. And much like the other times Feline tried to compete directly with other companies, it didn't go too well. Although, just as typically, Feline was able to find a market for its weapon almost immediately after being outcompeted. Whereas the 1-2 is a solid general purpose weapon, useful for any target both on offense and defense, the GL-47 found itself occupying a more specific niche. Unlike the 1-2 grenade launcher which makes a loud noise whenever it fires, the GL-47 makes a more quiet THUNK sound which is easily masked by gunfire from open combat or traffic, and the GL-47 has special silencers made by Wetwork to make it useable as a stealth weapon. The sticky bombs of the GL-47 already do far more damage than the grenades of the 1-2 at the cost of blast radius. Yet, the GL-47 is the preferred choice for levelling an entire area, as multiple sticky bombs can be shot out and attached silently from a distance before detonation. Skilled saboteurs can place enough explosives on an enemy encampment and then level it before the enemy even realizes they were ever in danger. The GL-47 also has better range, further solidifying it as a sort of stealth weapon. The higher damage also make it more effective against tanks and power armour, provided the user hasn't been spotted yet. Unfortunately the fact that bombs need to be manually detonated, the GL-47 is a bit unwieldy in direct combat as the bombs attach with a sort of gel that doesn't take too much strength to be removed.   Type: Launcher
Range: Long
Firerate: Medium
Magazine: 17
Damage: Extremely high
Damage Type: Explosive
Weight Class: Medium
Handling: Hand and a half
Price: 49 Cyber Credits

USP-12

The USP 12 is the standard issue pistol for recruits in the peacemakers. It is reliable, fires 9mm, accurate, and most importantly: cheap. It's also incredibly easy to use and one of the most commonly seen guns around Jeslore.   Type: Handgun
Range: Medium
Firerate: Medium
Magazine: 20
Damage: Medium
Damage type: Ballistic
Weight Class: Super light
Handling: One handed Price: 1 Cyber Credit

C-70

The C-70 is not just the strangest weapon by Feline, but possibly the strangest weapon on the market. A 45 cal 120 round submachine gun with 6 barrels that are rotated by winding it up using the foregrip. The C-70 was a limited edition promotional item for a film, in which the hero used a minigun. It is an incredibly awkward weapon to use due to how the barrels need to be rotated manually with a foregrip, which feels like constantly racking a shotgun pump. The constant racking makes it almost impossible to steady the gun before the weapon has even begun firing. Once the firing does begin, any hope of controlling the recoil is next to impossible without the use of power armour, given the calibre of the weapon and its top firerate. What's worse is that if the user stops racking and the weapon slows down, it will stop firing if the barrel rotation gets too slow, and even worse than that is that anything but maximum barrel rotation speed makes the weapon likely to jam. It is no surprise that the C-70 is mostly a novelty for a collection, or a gag gift for a gun enthusiast.   That is until the auto rotor was released, this modification replaced the manual rack with an engine, but by the time it released the chargers were already out of stock and the abysmal sales numbers discouraged feline from making more. Much like the Econius though, most of the C-70s ended up in the armoury of SEAL alongside the auto rotors. Within the army of SEAL, the auto rotor C-70s are used for short range area denial or quick assaults as even with the auto rotor, the C-70 remains difficult to control.   Type: Submachine Gun
