Mechanics & Inner Workings
Connected to a high capacity battery the arc welder is capable of putting an entire battle tank under electricity, effectively killing whoever is inside. It is also extremely useful against power armor with a depleted barrier generator or enemies hiding under water. The maximum general strength is 22 Giga gours (about 27 amps) but the strength will gradually diminish as battery life goes down.
Manufacturing process
Arc razors are a bit more complex than other weapons in the sense that they need to be programmed and carefully constructed. The 'casting rods' need to be adjusted with extreme precision and the casing needs to be fully shockproof.

The arc razor is mostly made out of non-conducting materials except near the end of the weapon to protect the user against the discharge. The 'caster' is made out of silver (though there are copper and gold versions out there too) while the body and handles are made out of non conducting dwarven fiber.
