{3,2} Lake Weary Eyes

Hex Description

Lake Weary Eyes is the easiest way to access the Astral Plane on the eastern half of the Pangaea. The area is named after the Lake Weary Eyes. The lake earned it name because the water has a strange glimmer that reminds those that look at it of tears. The shimmer is because the lake does not actually contain any water, rather the "lake" is giant portal to the Astral Plane. In the center of the lake is a castle that until recently was occupied by the Pit Fiend Gorgo after he fled Gogreen Gowhite {4,2}. With Gorgo banished, spelljammers are starting to return to the area

Quest Summary:

In the early days of Jaytown, Lake Weary Eyes was an active port to the Astral Sea. One of the regular spelljammer captains, Isvannahee recuited adventurers to collect the ingredients for a Dragon’s Pearl within the Astral Plane. After hitched a ride on The Howling Eel to go to the Golden City where they fought Solaphonos in the arena and earned his tear.
Much later Salazar, Jack, Shala, Zhang and Soveliss took a corrupted amulet to Lake Weary Eyes used the water to ritually which cleanse it. When a village near the lake was raided and almost completely burned down. It is the only attack with this severity. The Hobgoblin Chief seem to have gotten orders and money from somebody. The party dealt with Hobgoblin Chief to ensure the safety of the area.
However, soon after the Pit Fiend Gorgo was chased away from the new Spartan Outpost and took he over the castle. His powerful presence stopped all Jaytown activity in the area for over a year and spelljammers refused to call port at the castle any more.
It wasn't until Treyphon Talnin led a party to get the poison of the Pit Fiend Aristocrat Gorga that is changed. When the party arrived, Gorga was marrying the Pit Fiend Lady Fiona, in human form. The party met with a Spelljammer Devil's Bounty which was guarding the portal. The party and some hunters from the Devil Hunter attempted to break up the party but retreated. Later Treyphon and friends snuck into the lake to meet with the Devil Bounty and traveled to another plane where they fought followers of Lloth. Finally Treyphon Talnin and friends returned to the castle and defeated Pit Fiend Aristocrats Baron Gorga and Lady Fiona.

The castle remained empty until Yuri of the Legion of Ice Cream asked another party to secure the castle for dad. The party encountered some drow that had chased the Purple Monkey Samurai gang into the castle. After defeating the monkeys, the party turned the castle over to Yuri to serve as the headquarters for the Legion of Ice Cream
