Frozen Veil
Part 1: A brave group of adventurers pushed further into the frozen veil, exploring hex (1,4) to see what can be mapped and discovered. They encountered a ship stranded on ice which promptly sank into a glacial lake, revealing a hidden hot spring as well as a glacial basin populated by a flock of elegant Legiana who were peaceful towards the adventurers.
Part 2: Party continued their expedition into these far north frozen lands, the raging blizzard continuing as they delved into a cave once home to the Legianas they met prior. Inside they encountered a massive Deviljho, the cause for pushing the Legiana out. Sneaking by, they came to a frozen forest and encountered gigantic ice-crystal spires, believed to have been left behind by whatever is causing the blizzard. They brought back samples to Echo's point for further study.
Part 3: Party was sent to the frozen reach to slay the Deviljho which had invaded the Legiana breeding grounds. After a narrow success, the Lagiana returned to their nests and another cavern passage was revealed, leading deeper into the region, safe from the raging blizzard outside.
Part 4: Party ventured to investigate the source of strong tremors recorded in the area. Traveling deep into the Legiana nesting caves, safe from the storm. Party encountered a mysterious passage that cursed and petrified its previous occupants. The party dove deeper into a sunken part of the cave system which was home to a Lagiacrus. Upon reaching the other side, they discovered an immense chasm which was soon revealed to be carved out by a colossal Elder Dragon, the source of the supernatural blizzard, as it unborrowed itself with its massive blade-like jaw, lifting the party to the surface of the Frozen Reach. The party promptly retreated back to Echo's Point to report the sighting.
Part 5: Arima, Rhythm, Civetta, and Alphonse returned to the Frozen Reach to investigate the ice-crystal pillars which mysteriously appeared in the region. During the investigation, the party encountered some playful Chwingas, who eventually led them to a snow elf, Juno. Juno expressed interest in the adventurers and their keenness to help others, having observed them in secret prior. She brought the party to her hidden home, Horizon. There, they witnessed a similar ice-crystal formation in the middle of town, acting as some form of barrier to the Ukanlos' blizzard, but before they could extract any meaningful information the elder snow elf of the village requested the party to help clear their mines of pests to prove their trustworthiness. Upon competition the party returned, but the elder was in a deep trance, a return visit will be required
Part 6: Arima, Civetta and Alphonse returned to Horizon accompanied by Cielle. They were tasked with entering a cave to help a Barioth, proving they could work alongside the monster and earn privy information about the Ice-Crystals which populate the Frozen Reach. The cave warped the party and Cielle back in time, to a moment where the Barioth was in dire need of aid, protecting its egg from a spreading redwood forest and its deadly creatures, Odogarons. The party was successful and unexpectedly returned to the present without Cielle. When they returned to Horizon, a note was waiting for them, from Cielle, apparently trapped in the past.
Part 7: Arima, Civetta, Alphonse, and Veldrin joined Rebecca and Violet for an investigation mission in the Frozen Reach to inspect the mysterious gigantic monster skeleton that suddenly appeared. Along the way they encountered the Shrieking Legiana, mourning the loss of one of its own flock members. At the skeleton site they discovered another ice-crystal, with the help of a Chwinga they retrieved Cielle's pendant from within. Shortly after they were interrupted by the Ukanlos, as things quickly turned dire, Violet, Alphonse, and Arima worked together to safely retreat everyone back to Echo's Point.
Part 8: A return visit to Horizon to investigate their Ice-Crystal. The town was deserted until the crystal was activated, Juno appeared and agreed to sneak the party to their grove with the hopes they could check in on Cielle in the past. Instead the grove shunted them forward in time to see Cielle and Anna surviving in the frozen remnants of Echo's Point. Anna would help with providing a key to free Cielle in the present, but only after meeting Velkhana who mysteriously vanished upon her release - the party doesn't even remember encountering her.
Part 9: Arima, Gurrah, Rulon, and Sion were called to Echo's Point to aid in Cielle's recovery by piecing together her memory, fragments clouded by her merging with Velkhana. They lived through events familiar, such as the Festival of Light, an encounter with a nesting Rathian and Ratholos, and Cielle's first encounter With Velkhana, successfully repairing her memories - her recovery is now imminent.
Finale: Arima, Alphonse, Gurrah, Sion, and Veldrin answered Cielle's call to hunt down the weakened Ukanlos after a slew of preparations, planning, and a long battle. Once incapacitated the Ukanlos was banished to the Frostfell, the hopes that with Velkhana's absence - her spirit now merged with Cielle - that the Ukanlos would be unable to reincarnate in another 1,000 years and that balance would be restored. The storm finally fades.
